random crap...and artists are crazy.

i was on myspace a few moments ago (dang haven't been on there in a minute), and i saw two bulletins from kanye west and lupe fiasco. and the subject lines were really weird like..."KANYE KANYE KANYE KANYE" and it was a very "WTF?" inducing title, so i opened it, and it was one of those spam things.

this has happened about 3 times. people are really excited to hack into their profiles huh? :/

in other news, i messed up my knee again. i don't know what the heck i did to it. it was getting better until today when i had to run across the street on michigan ave. to stop from getting run over. the pain shot up my leg as i got halfway across. D:

so i'm gonna wrap it up in an ace bandage to prevent me from bending it, and no more running for buses/across streets for me.

now i look like some female thug with my gangsta walk. which goes very well with my bright green fleece coat and little girl face, haha.

okay. wtf. i'm reading this article for core studio, and this dude robert barry in 1969 had a gallery showing of "invisible art" where he used microwaves, electromagnetic fields, etc. he said: "i will try to communicate telepathically a work of art, the nature of which is a series of thoughts that are not applicable to language or image."

umm. alrght. maybe i'm just too much of a simpleton to understand, but...WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT DUDE? *shakes head* sometimes i wonder if i'm not deep enough or ecletic enough in my thinking processes to be an artist.

maybe i'll just "sell out" and be a commercial photographer. *shrugs*

maybe he wants to use invisible art such as electromagnetic fields to convey that emotions or thoughts may not be concrete, so he feels that art is not concrete - it's abstract and sometimes there's no one thing or one kind of way to compose something to express a thought or feeling, like it's so indescribable, so he uses waves and other kinds of magnetic fields, and maybe microwaves because they are use energy to convey this indescribable feeling..like emotions are waves, energy..can't see it...stuff like that lol i dont know if i made any sense..but ok..

haha that makes sense. and you got all of that from one sentence that i posted. i couldn't even get that from 3 pages.

this proves that i am simply too slow for art school. :[

NOO, you're just not an idiot who believes that all installation pieces and post-modern art are so PROFOUND....

and no offense to those who really enjoy POMO and installation art, but...
I hate crap like that. It's all a load of BS to me.
it's like... I'm sorry but just cos you got permission to throw old clothes across the floor of an art gallery and CLAIM it as art DOES NOT MAKE IT ART.

"artists" like that are just BSing the public for fame and money- and stupid rich people only into it cos its trendy and they dont care how meaningless it is. T_T

i blame it all on that damn french guy with the urinal

[/rant]
